SilkenFest 2013
Information for the 2013 SilkenFest may be found on the official SilkenFest website as it is made available.
SilkenFest 2014
SF 2014 will be helpd May 29-June 1 in Olympia, WA. The show will take place on the grounds of the host hotel, the Red Lion. Performance events will be held at the Tacoma Polo Fields in Roy, WA.
Event chairs are Iola Stetson (istetson@msn.com) and Jane Taylor (jtayor110@frontier.com).
More information will be available after the conclusion of SF 2013.
UKC
Silken Windhounds were recognized by the United Kennel Club in March 2011 and are now eligible to compete in UKC events, which may be found listed on the UKC website.
NAKC/Rarities Shows
To view information on Rarities shows where Silkens are allowed to compete, check out the event calendar on the Rarities web site.
IABCA Shows
Silkens were granted status to show in the IABCA shows starting January 1, 2005! You can find a calendar of their events here.
NCA (National Canine Association) Shows
Silkens are welcomed at shows held by the National Canine Association! You can find a calendar of their events here.
NEWS
ECSW Specialty
The 2013 East Coast Silken Windhounds specialty show was held on March 8 and 9th, 2013 in Camden, SC.
Judges were Sally Yancey and Beth Kirvan, both UKC judges. There was also a LGRA silken racemeet on the afternoon of March 9th sponsored by SOL and on Sunday,the 10th, the CLCS coursing club hosted a silken only ASFA trial.

EuroSWC Specialty Shows
European Silken Windhound Club e.V. presents the ESWC Winner Show July 7, 2012 and the Niedersachsen Winner Show on July 8, 2012 .

Finnish Specialty 2012
The 2012 Finnish ISWS Specialty show will be held in Helsinki, Finland on June 30th 2012. Judge will be Mr. Kalle Salovaara.

Northwest Silken Celebration 2011
Annual show of the Northwest Silken Windhound Society. Event to take place June 25-27 in Tigard, OR. More information may be found on the club's website.
NorthwestFest 2011
NWFest will be held July 23-25, with the specialty show in conjunction with one of the NAKC shows on that Saturday at Riverside Park in Oregon City, OR. Sunday will have a straight-racing meet at Allagante Farm and on Monday an AB lure coursing event (Judge: Ann Chamberlain).
There will also be BBQs on Saturday and Sunday nights and lunches Sunday and Monday.
East Coast Specialty 2011
The third annual ECS will take place May 20-22. More information may be found on the club's website.

Slovenian Sighthound Club Show and
ISWS Specialty Show
The Slovenian Sighthound club held their 17th Special Sighthound Show in conjunction with the European Dog Show 2010 on October 1. The following day is the Euro Dog Show.
There was an ISWS Specialty at the same show grounds. Judge is breed founder Francie Stull.
Silken Windhound Specialty
Germany 2010
A Silken Windhound Specialty show was held on August 28-29 at Dog City (close to Bremen; www.dogcity-bremen.de)
There will be a Specialty Weekend Winner 2010 out of the BISS Saturday and BISS Sunday. For more information go to www.silken-windhound.de
Finnish Silken Specialty
The 9th annual Finnish Silken Specialty was held July 31st 2010 in Helsinki, Tuomarinkartano Sighthound Center.
The judge was Pertti Päivärinta, Kennel Mishan, who is a very renowned lure coursing judge and a borzoi&whippet breeder who hasalready judged our silkens coursing.Silken Windhound Matches
Gold County Hounds and Hunters (held in conjunction with the American River Dog Fanciers Assn.) hosted Silken Windhound matches at their UKC Shows on June 24 and 25. Two matches each day. Saturday judges were Carol Gaines and Jeannie Heger; Sunday judges are Lorraine Tayeb and Lynne Martin.
NW Fest 2010
June 12 - 14, 2010 at Allagante Silkens, Damascus, Oregon. Two Specialty Conformation Shows, Straight Racing and Lure Coursing.

Eastern Specialty 2010
East Coast Silken Windhounds hosted a specialty March 27 & 28, 2010 at the Siendo Farmstead in McLeansville, NC (Greensboro area).

Silkenfest 2009
Silkenfest was held in Gray Summit, MO from April 24-28 at Purina Farms. In addition to the specialty show, puppy sweepstakes, stud dog and brood bitch classes were offered for the first time. There was also lure coursing and straight racing. Results may be found here.
