SilkenFest 2013 RVs and Campground

If you are planning on driving an RV to SilkenFest be aware that you have many choices of campsites.

The Kalamazoo Expo Center has three camping areas at the fairgrounds with a total of 206 campsites. All sites have water and electric. The bathrooms and showers have been recently renovated. For a fee, they will dump your sewer twice during the premier. As of February 12, 2013 pricing was not available. Sites are assigned as you arrive; they won't reserve a specific campsite. Therefore, we can't get Silken owners all together.

In the Premier information booklet, that will be published on the UKC website, will be a form to reserve a spot. Or, you can call and make a reservation. They prefer you reserve your spot with your entry fee. The phone number is (269)383-8778.

There are four other camping areas, each approximately 13 miles from the fairgrounds:

COLDBROOK COUNTY PARK (269) 746-4270. They have 29 sites with electric and water, and 15 rustic sites. The sites with water and electric are $20 a night and the rustic sites are $15. For both there is a $5 advance fee for with reservations.

MARKIN GLEN COUNTY PARK (269) 383-8778. They have 38 modern sites, water, sewer and 50 amp electric. $25 a night with an unspecified advance registration fee.

FORT CUSTER RECREATION AREA (269) 731-4200. They have 219 sites, with only electric, for $21 a night.

OAK SHORES RESORT CAMP GROUND (269)649-4689. They have 65 campsites with full hookups. Fifty, 30, and 20 amp electric is available. Call for prices. Well behaved pets are welcome.
